Pastor of Men's Ministries Travis and his wife Tara travel to Kauai each year to visit family and work on their tans to keep up with Pastor Johnny. They both are graduates of San Jose State University. Q & A
Q: What kinds of events are being planned throughout the year for the men of our church? A: We have a monthly mens breakfast and devotional - a time where men can get together and worship the Lord and grow spiritually. Men's softball starts September 9th and the core attending men from Pathway have committed to praying for all the players in the league on a daily basis. The softball field will be a missions field for men of the Tucson community. The men will also be participating in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament this fall to benefit a youth missions trip. We also have a fishing derby in the works for this spring. Q: As a San Francisco Giants fan, how does it feel to see them languishing in last place this year, while the local Arizona Diamondbacks are in first place? A: Well, Arizona is an expansion team who bought a World Championship...and then disassembled it. What a joke! I am rooting for the NL West to be eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. As a Giants fan I know that since we left Coogan's Bluff in New York the magic has been gone, but a true fan stays with his team year in and year out. Win or lose (mostly lose) I remain a Giants fan serving the Lord in the desert. |
